– Our Story

How AttiFin came to be

AttiFin was born out of a gap in the legal technology landscape. Existing AI tools were built for the US market, lacked UK legal training, made privacy promises they couldn’t keep, and required months of implementation. UK lawyers deserved better.
2025
The Problem Identified
Co-founders Praveen & Shilpa — entrepreneurs and engineer — observed how UK law firms were using general-purpose AI tools and accepting inaccuracy, privacy risk, and US-law bias as the price of innovation. They decided to build something better.
2025
UK Legal AI Foundation Built
The core team spent 18 months training the first AttiFin language model exclusively on UK legal sources — BAILII, legislation.gov.uk, the FCA Handbook, and SRA guidance. The zero-training architecture was designed and patented to ensure client data could never contaminate the model.

Series A & UK Legal AI Foundation Built
Backed by Series A investment from leading UK technology and legal sector investors, AttiFin expanded to 180+ firms across England and Wales. ISO 27001 certification achieved. SOC 2 Type II audit completed. The platform expanded to cover all major UK practice areas.
2026
First Clients & Rapid Validation

AttiFin launched in private beta with 12 UK law firms across employment, commercial, and property law. Client feedback shaped the platform — the human-in-the-loop governance model, the iManage integration, and the precedent training system all emerged from direct practitioner input.
